The facility offers microscope-based systems that allow the assessment of cellular responses, such as calcium signaling with fast temporal resolution. The facility offers
1) Confocal imaging services;
2) Brightfield, darkfield, phase contrast, Nomarski and epi-fluorescence imaging;
3) High spatial and temporal resolution imaging,
4) Collection of serial sections (Deconvolution capabilities) and
5) Morphometric analysis.

"The Leica VT1000 S vibrating blade microtome is the instrument of choice for high-quality sectioning requirements in neurophysiology, neuropathology experimental pathology), Botany (roots and plants) and Industry (foams).
Whether sectioning fixed tissue for specific neuropathology tests or sectioning unfixed native tissue e.g. for patch clamping the Leica VT1000 S consistently provides high-quality sectioning results."
"The FV1000 delivers all of the key performance functions required from a confocal laser scanning microscope, minimizes specimen damage during high-speed imaging of living organisms and accurately captures a full range of related information."
"The Lambda 10-2 is the ideal choice for researchers whose applications are intolerant of electrical noise. The low-noise linear electronics of the controller assure that only DC voltages are present on the motor windings when the wheels are not moving.
The Lambda 10-2 is capable of independently operating up to two filter wheels and two Uniblitz shutters. The reliable, smooth operation of the Lambda 10-2 has made it highly suitable for research applications involving fluorescence microscopy, ratio imaging, spectrophotometry, and visual physiology."
In live and fixed specimens.
Service includes: vibratome tissue preparation, fixation, permeabilization and antibody optimization.
